Dumbbell Front Raises

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE FRONT OF THE DELTOIDS

This exercise will help increase the performance of pushing movements and shoulders flexion. It is common to swing the weights instead of lifting them. This is cheating and cuts down the effectiveness of the exercise.

Technique
1. Begin the exercise with the dumbbells at your side.
2. Raise one of the dumbbells with an extended arm so that the dumbbell is at the same height as top of your head.
3. Lower the dumbbell in a slow and controlled descent to the starting position.
4. Repeat with the other dumbbell.

CAUTIONS!!

• Do not swing with the hips and lower back
