Purpose
of this exercise: TO STRENGTHEN THE LATISSIMUS, SERRATUS
AND PECTORALIS
Make
sure you feel this exercise with your back and chest,
not arm. Use this exercise to enhance performance in
swimming, pole vaulting and throwing.

| Technique |
| 1. |
The
athlete lies on his back on a bench, holding a dumbbell
in each hand. Extend your arms straight above you. |
|
| 2. |
Keeping
your elbows stationary, slowly bend them, lowering
the dumbbells toward your head. |
| 3. |
When
the dumbbell reaches the level of your head, push
back up to the starting position. |

| CAUTIONS!! |
Make sure not to change the angles of the elbows or perform
this exercise with straight arms.
Never exercise without a competent spotter. |
