Hip Flexion

Purpose of this exercise: TO STRENGTHEN THE ILIOPSOAS MUSCLE, A HIP FLEXOR

The abdominal muscles work by stabilizing the trunk, so they get a good workout from this exercise. This exercise has many of the same effects as the hanging knee raises and reverse beetles.

Technique
1. Sit in the machine and fasten the belt across the middle of your thighs.
2. Lie on your back with your head resting on the bench and grab the handles behind your head (starting position).
3. Bring your knees to your chest; then return to the starting position.

CAUTIONS!!
• Never exercise without a competent spotter.
