Knee Hugs - Walking

Purpose of this exercise:TO INCREASE THE RANGE OF MOTION IN THE HIPS AND TRAIN THE BODY FOR PROPER KNEE DRIVE

Increased flexibility in the hips helps to increase your stride length. Higher leg strength correlates to quicker sprinting.


Technique
1. March pulling the knee up towards the chest with the chest. Toes should be pointed up (dorsi-flexed).  
2. Push off onto the ball of your foot, keeping the back leg straight.
3. Keep your chest up and back straight.

CAUTIONS!!
• Your upper body slightly in front of your belly button.
• Keep your back straight, do not bend at the waist.
