Jump Rope

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP ENDURANCE

Jumping rope is the original plyometric exercise. It is excellent for developing fitness for endurance and high-intensity exercises, as well as leg power.

Technique
1. The ideal length for the jump rope can be found by stepping, with both feet, on the middle of the rope. With each hand, take an end of the rope and pull it tight. Each of your elbows should be at a 90 degree angle.
2. Simply swing the rope around your body, jumping over it each time it reaches the lowest point of its path of travel. There are many tricks and variations of jumping rope you can experiment with.
