Lateral Slides

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP LATERAL POWER

You should perform these drills at maximum speed and intensity for best development. Focus on execution, stop and rest if fatigued.


Technique
1. Stand in a ready position with the knees bent, back flat and feet shoulder width apart.
2. Slide sideways, reaching with the leading foot and closing with the trailing foot so that your feet are together. Do not cross your feet.
5. Repeat moving sideways down the field. Keep your chest facing forward, in-line with the direction you are moving.

CAUTIONS!!
• Keep your chest in line with the direction you are moving.
• Keep your back straight.
