Dumbbell Shrugs

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE TRAPEZIUS MUSCLES

This exercise should be done through the fullest range of motion possible.


Technique
1. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent.
2. Hold onto a dumbbell in each hand with the arms extended, to the sides and the palms facing each other.
3. The arms should remain extended throughout the entire exercise.
4. While keeping the head in a neutral position and looking forward, slowly bring your shoulders up towards your ears.
5. Slowly lower the dumbbells down the side until the upper back is fully stretched.
 

CAUTIONS!!
• Try not to move anything but your shoulders.
• Never exercise without a competent spotter
