Machine Seated Press

Purpose of this exercise:TO DEVELOP THE DELTOIDS, TRICEPS, AND TRAPEZIUS

The shoulder is one of the most complex joints in the body. It is composed of six joints and more than twelve muscles.


Technique
1. Position the body on the seat in front of the machine.
2. Grasp the bar so the hands are slightly wider than shoulder width apart and are at the same level as the shoulders.
3. Slowly start to press upwards until the arms are extended.
4. Slowly lower the bar until you have reached the starting position.
5. Do not hyperextend the back when the hands are above the head.

CAUTIONS!!
• Do not hyperextend the back when the hands are above the head. Keep your back against the pad.
• Never exercise without a competent spotter.
