Machine Back Extension

Purpose of this exercise: FOR SACROSPINALIS

Bending your knees allows you to do more reps with a fuller range of motion.

Technique
1. Sit on the seat of the machine and place your legs under the upper thigh support cushion, your back flat against the cushion, and your feet firmly planted on the platform.
2. Placing your hands on your abdomen, extend backward until your back is straight, then slowly return to the starting position.

CAUTIONS!!
Try to keep your spine rigid and straight.
Extending back to far could put excessive pressure on the spinal disks.
If you suffer from low back pain, this exercise is not recommended.
•This procedure was written for a specific machine, always read the directions for the machine you are going to use and always follow those directions
