Machine Incline Press

Purpose of this exercise: TO STRENGTHEN THE UPPER PECTORALIS MAJOR, DELTOID, TRICEPS BRACHIUS

The pectoralis major is the muscle responsible for bringing the arm across the chest and lowering the arms when they are overhead.

If one arm is stronger than the other, move the weaker hand out further on the bar.

Technique
1. If your gym does not have an incline press machine, place an incline bench under the handles of the shoulder press station. Lie on the bench with your back to the machine.
2. Extend your arms, pushing the weight out as far as you can.
3. Lower the weight without letting the plates bang together.

CAUTIONS!!
• Be careful not to let your head get too close to the weight stack.
• As with all machine exercises, make sure the pin is fully inserted.
• Never exercise without a competent spotter.
