Machine Upright Row

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE DELTOID, TRAPEZIUS and RHOMBOID

The upright row is excellent for developing the front of the arms, the neck, and the upper back. This exercise works on a lot of large muscle groups at the same time.


Technique
1. Adjust the chain on the low pully station so that the weights you're using go above the weight stack when you stand with the bar at your abdomen. This way you have room on the chain to complete the full range of motion for this exercise.
2. With hands at waist level, take the bar in a pronated (palms out) grip. Make sure the chain/cable does not rub against the weight stack.

CAUTIONS!!
•Do not arch your back while doing this exercise. Make sure it is straight.
