Dumbbell Preacher Curls

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE LOWER AREA OF THE BICEPS

Preacher Curls are an even stricter movement than barbell curls. Using dumbbells force the arms to work independently.

Technique
1. Position elbows shoulder width apart in the top portion of the preacher bench.
2. Place a dumbbell in each hand and arms fully flexed.
3. Keep the chest high and the eyes looking straight ahead to prevent upper back strain.
4. Slowly lower the dumbbells until the arms are fully extended.
5. Slowly curl the dumbbells upwards until the dumbbells reach the shoulders and the tension is reduced in the biceps.

CAUTIONS!!
• Do not lean back as you lift the dumbbells.
Keep the chest high and the eyes looking straight ahead to prevent upper back strain.
