Dumbbell Tricep Extensions

Purpose of this exercise:TO BUILD THE TRICEPS

The tricep extension is a great exercise to isolate the tricep muscles. If you develop elbow pain as a result of doing this exercise, try another tricep exercise.

Technique
1. Lie on a bench, grasping a barbell with a pronated grip. Keep your hands 6 to 12 inches apart.
2. Push the bar up and over your chest until your arms are fully extended. This is your starting position. From here, your elbows should not move.
3. Carefully lower the weight until it touches your forehead. Push the weight back to the starting position.

CAUTIONS!!
•Be careful not to use too much weight in this exercise. If you lose control in this exercise, you may seriously injure yourself.
•If you cannot do this exercise at first, have a spotter hold your waist and assist you.
