Dumbbell Alternate Deadlift

Purpose of this exercise:TO DEVELOP THE HAMSTRINGS

This exercise is great for the hamstrings because it isolates them one at a time.

Technique
1. Stand on a bench with one leg crossed over the other. Being on the bench allows you to work on balance, and crossing the leg allows you to isolate the hamstring.
2. Holding one dumbbell in each hand, slowly bend over. Keep your back straight throughout the entire motion. Work on control and balance.
3. Be careful not to bounce at the bottom. You can prevent this by keeping the motion slow and controlled.
4. After one set, switch legs.

CAUTIONS!!
•Never exercise without a competent spotter
•Keep you back straight.
•You may want to begin doing this exercise on the ground to get used to the motion. Then move to the bench.
