Shoulder Shrugs

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE TRAPEZIUS

Perform this exercise to enhance jumping and pulling movements.


Technique
1. The athlete stands erect, with hands positioned on the bar at shoulder width.  
2. With the arms fully extended the athlete elevates the shoulders as high as possible.
3. Rotate your shoulders back, then lower the weight in a controlled manner.

CAUTIONS!!
•This exercise may place excessive pressure on your intervertebral disks, so don't do it if you have back trouble.
