Pull-ups

Purpose of this exercise:TO BUILD THE LATS AND UPPER BODY MUSCLES

Pull-ups are extremely effective for building the lats and upper body muscles. You can do them wherever you find a bar, gyms, playground or you can purchase one for your doorway. This exercise should be done through the fullest range of motion possible.

Technique
1. Take a 30-36 inch overhand grip on a chin bar.
2. Allow the body to hang with extended arms with knees bent, feet back and crossed.
3. Slowly pull the body up until the upper chest is near the bar.
4. Slowly lower yourself down until your arms are fully extended and the back is under the full stretch.
5. Always start the exercise with the arms fully extended as the back is worked the most during the first one third of the exercise.

CAUTIONS!!
•Do not swing your legs during this exercise.
•If you cannot do this exercise at first, have a spotter hold your waist and assist you.
