Walking Lunges

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP QUADRICEPS and INCREASE RANGE OF MOTION

Technique
1.

Start in a standing position with your arms resting at your sides.

2.

Step forward, keeping your head, shoulders and torso straight up. Be sure to keep your chest and hips pointed in the direction you are traveling.

3.

Continue your step forward until your thigh is parallel to the ground. Try to keep the back leg as straight as possible, but don't touch that knee to the ground.

4. Push off with your back foot and bring that foot up to the lead foot. Repeat. Keep walking forward in the same manner.

CAUTIONS!!

• The exercise requires a training partner, do not attempt to use a weight to replace the resistance of an attentive training partner/ spotter.
• Training partners need to pay close attention to the amount of force they apply.
