Barbell Preacher Curls

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE BICEPS

This exercise is very effective in isolating the biceps.


Technique
1. Position elbows shoulder width apart on the top portion of the preacher bench.
2. Place barbell in hands with arms fully flexed.
3. Keep the chest high and the eyes looking straight ahead to prevent upper back strain.
4. Slowly lower the barbell until the arms are fully extended.
5. Slowly curl the barbell upwards until the barbell reaches the shoulders and the tension is reduced on the biceps.

CAUTIONS!!

• Do not lean back as you lift the bar.
Keep the chest high and the eyes looking straight ahead to prevent upper back strain.
