Dumbbell Row - Single Arm

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE UPPER LATS. ALSO WORKS THE BICEPS.

This exercise isolates each side of the body, eliminating the strong side helping the weaker side. This is a good exercise for upper back symmetry.

Technique
1. Bend forward and place one hand and knee on a bench.
2. Grasp a dumbbell with the free hand with arm extended.
3. Slowly pull the dumbbell upwards while keeping the elbow close to the body.
4. Pull the dumbbell upwards until it is chest height.
5. Slowly lower the dumbbell until the arm is extended and you feel a stretch in the back.
6. Repeat with the opposite arm.

CAUTIONS!!
The exercise should not be initiated in the lower back.
The majority of the pull should be felt in the lats, not the arms.
