Lat Pulldowns V-Bar

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE BICEPS AND THE LOWER LATS

Lat Pulls are very similar to pull-ups. Because you can lift less than your total body weight, you can do more reps than pull-ups to exercise the lats more.

28.8k QT | 56k QT | ISDN and above QT
56k Real | ISDN Real

Technique
1. Adjust the thigh pad so it gently presses down on the knees when seated.
2. Grasp the v-bar with an overhand grip.
3. With the arms fully extended, slowly pull the bar down until it touches the top of the chest.
4. Slowly allow the bar to go upwards until the arms are fully extended and the back is fully stretched.
5. Always start the next rep with the arms fully extended as most of the benefit occurs at the beginning of the exercise.

CAUTIONS!!
Spotters must take care to keep their head away from the bar; they can be seriously injured if the lifter suddenly lets go.
• Never exercise without a competent spotter
