Hamstring Curls

Purpose of this exercise: TO DEVELOP THE HAMSTRINGS

Because most sports build the quadriceps muscle group automatically, it is important to consciously work on developing your hamstrings. Injuries can be caused by imbalances between muscles. This exercise should be done through the fullest range of motion possible.

Technique
1. Lie face down on the machine so that the knees are located just off of the machine pad.
2. Adjust the leg pad so it rests just above the back of the ankle.
3. Lift the weight by curling the heels up to the butt in a smooth manner.
4. Lower the weight slowly until legs are fully extended.

CAUTIONS!!
•Never exercise without a competent spotter
