LIST OF PROHIBITED PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSES OF DOPING AGENTS AND DOPING METHODS (DOPING-LIST)

valid as of 1.1.2003

The Olympic Movement defines doping in its Anti-Doping Code as follows: Doping contravenes the fundamental principles of Olympism and sports and medical ethics and is forbidden. Doping is the use of an expedient (substance or method) which is potentially harmful to athletes’ health and/or capable of enhancing their performance. But doping is also the presence in the athlete’s body of a prohibited substance or evidence of the use thereof or evidence of the use of a prohibited method.

This is not an exhaustive list of prohibited substances. Many substances that do not appear on this list are considered prohibited under the term "and related substances".
